Instant Prashna: why the moment you ask matters

28 October 2026 · 4 min read

Many people don't know their exact time of birth. Others have an urgent, specific question — "Will this deal close?" — that doesn't need a full life reading. For both, PRSHN offers perspectives that read the moment you ask instead of the moment you were born.

The idea behind it

Several traditions, in India, Europe and China, share one belief: a sincere question asked at a particular moment carries its own answer. So the reading is drawn from the exact time and place you ask, not from your birth details.

The four moment-based perspectives

  • Jamakkol — a South Indian Prashna tradition, read from the moment and place of your question.
  • Vedic Prashna — gives a scored yes or no, with an idea of when things may move.
  • Lilly Horary — the classic Western method of answering a single question: whether, how and when.
  • Qimen Dunjia — a Chinese strategy method that suggests your best move and direction for the hour.

Ramal Jyotish works in a similar spirit, except the answer comes from four dice throws that you cast yourself.

Getting a good reading

  • Ask when the question is genuinely on your mind.
  • Ask one clear question — not two joined with "and".
  • Allow your phone to share your location if it asks; otherwise a default location is used.
  • Don't keep re-asking the same question to get a different answer. The first sincere ask is the one to trust.

These readings also show the chart of the moment above the written answer, for anyone curious — but the answer itself is always in plain English.
